Jo Han Mok’s Internet Millionaire Incubator for $1
Oct 7th, 2007 by Martin Lee
Jo Han Mok is organising an internet marketing seminar at the Singapore Expo on October 12-14. And the price of a ticket? $1. Before you get too excited, let me give you a couple of warnings on such events.
For this coming event, the lineup of speakers include John Childers, Frank Garon, Kirt Christensen, Adam Ginsberg, Chris Moreno, Mark Anastasi, Randy Charach, Jarl Moe, Patric Chan, Debra Thompson, David Cavanagh, Matt Bacak and of course, Jo Han Mok.
About half of these names are foreign to me.
The format of such an event is usually like this:
Each speaker will have about 1.5-2 hours to deliver his lesson. Depending on the speaker, the session could either be content rich or a very well disguised sales pitch. Or a mixture of both. At the end of his lesson, the speaker will then make a special offer to the crowd.
This is where the seminar organisers make their money.
The price of each offer can range from 1k all the way to 10k+, and the seminar organiser gets a nice cut from any resulting sales. Assuming there are 500 people at the event and each offer has a 5% takeup rate, the total revenue from the 3 days can be substantial.
My recommendation? If you have the time, by all means go and attend the event. It’s a good place to pick up some tips and network. Just make sure you leave your credit cards at home. :)
Baring any last minute changes, I should be there too. If you are interested, here’s the VIP registration link where you can register for $1.
