Internet Millionaire Incubator Day 2
Oct 13th, 2007 by Martin Lee
It’s 9:53am here in the Singapore Expo and I’m here for the Internet Millionaire Incubator. The first speaker of the day was supposed to be Frank Garon but apparently, he’s still stuck in Holland. So, here we are in the hall with Jo Han Mok and Matt Macak (ops I meant Bacak) doing a Q & A session. These are some points raised by them during this particular session.
Matt Bacak
When you are losing in a sport, the coach will tell you to get back to fundamentals. Matt does not try any gimmicky stuff on the internet (eg. scripts that generate 120,000 sites for you in minutes). If you go back to fundamentals, you do not have to be too worried about things like Google slap, etc.
Go to where all the buyers are. Search for a hungry crowd. Ebay is number one place in the world to find buyers.
He drives all his traffic to his squeeze page to build his list. With the list, he can email to them any time he wants to monetize it. He can promote affiliate programs/teleseminars/webinars, sell ebooks or home study courses. If an email is successful, it gets added to the autoresponder sequence.
You need to train your list on the frequency of your emails so they know when to expect them. Your content in the email is also important to prevent spam filters. And when you are starting, just do it and do not worry about all the nitty gritty stuff. You can tweak them as you go along.
The few things that epitomize his success:
- He takes massive action. Don’t care and don’t think.
- He’s just being himself.
- Be consistent.
Jo Han Mok
His traffic comes in different streams from all kinds of different sources. Articles, offline, joint ventures, affiliates, blogs, videos, adwords. This will not make you dependent or over-reliant on any one source.
Get the first website up before creating multiple sites. You don’t need to be perfect, you just need to get things going. Just be careful it’s not a dead duck.
To locate super affiliates in your niche, you can look at who are the people getting the most traffic in your niche. You can make use of services like Alexa to see their traffic rankings.
It’s no big deal to fail. Americans just move on when they fail. Asians have a tendency to over-react. They feel they have disgraced their family, etc.
The one thing that epitomize his success: His compulsive obsession.
