If you think you are an internet marketing newbie, please read this post carefully because this was written specially for you. In the past one year or so, I have attended four internet marketing events in Singapore organised by three different organisers. These are actual events and not previews. All the events have something in common which I will talk about later. But first, here’s a brief summary of the four events.

Having attended the full three days of the internet millionaire incubator 2, I have to say it was quite a disappointment. There was hardly any organisation of the overall theme (content) with each speaker talking about his own topic. A lot of time was wasted on talking about “why an internet business and the mindset” rather than on “how” to do it.
To get more of the “how”, you will have to invest in advanced packages offered by the speakers. There were even two sessions where the sole purpose was to promote the speaker’s network marketing opportunity.

The last speaker of the Internet Millionaire Incubator is one of the co-organiser, Jo Han Mok from Singapore. Jo Han started with a couple of jokes, which didn’t receive much response from the audience. His presentation had only four slides and these are some of the points from his presentation.

After John Childers, Patric Chan came back on stage again to further explain his concept of niche marketing. This time round, he started by showing some examples of niche sites. One was a site selling an XBox fix, one was a knitting site and another was on ragdoll cats. All three used the long salesletter format.
Patric mentioned that usually the longer the salesletter, the higher the price point. He also said that with increasingly levels of competition, it is becoming more difficult to make good money with such sites. In fact, it would probably be difficult to have an exit strategy to sell off such sites as a business.
This is where web 2.0 sites come in.

The speaker after Vince Tan was John Childers, a very good platform speaker. I have listened to him speak two times before and both times, he literally sold the crowd. He spoke about how the big money is made as a public speaker and how we can become one. This again, has nothing much to do with internet marketing. These are some of the points from his presentation.

The speaker after lunch is Vince Tan, an internet marketer from Malaysia. Just ten months ago, Vince knows nothing about internet marketing. Today, he makes $10k/month from internet marketing, starting from scratch and knowing nobody.
Vince feels that the two main reasons why people fail are that they don’t want it badly enough and they lack the education.
He goes on to talk about his system for starting out for a newbie.

The first speaker of the third day of the internet millionaire incubator is Debbie Thompson. Debbie started his presention with a few quotes:
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results!
It doesn’t matter where you start, it matters that you start and where you finish. You are spending life. Wouldn’t you be spending money and living life?

The next speaker after Adam Ginsberg was Mark Anastasi. In the year 2002, he made a total of $2000 from the internet. In 2006, the figure was $2.7 million. From 2004-2006, he made in excess of $1 million from selling ebooks. From 2005-2006, he had 42 mentoring clients at $6-10k making him $260k. In 2006, he made $2.26 million from seminars.
Instead of going directly into internet marketing, Mark will start by first telling us the mindset that we needed to succeed in internet marketing.
